We are having quite a second quarter thus far, with many of our team members traveling to the east and west coasts (and points in between) to participate in a number of great industry events. Please take a quick tour of where we’ve been, where we’re headed, and what we are and will be learning along the way; we recommend that you watch at full size. (You can also read more about it below.)
First Stop: SalesPage Client Advisory Board and Roundtable
Last week, we enjoyed the weather in sunny Scottsdale, AZ for two SalesPage client events. First, our Client Advisory Board got together to talk about the direction the industry is headed, and to advise SalesPage about product development and client communication strategies. Then, at our Spring 2016 Roundtable, additional client community members joined us to network and discuss developments in SalesPage products and functionality. We covered a lot of ground: we introduced the latest release of our distribution management solution, SalesPage Financial; we discussed empowering National Accounts distribution; we looked at how clients are using Business Intelligence tools and SalesPage to visualize data. Finally, SalesPage clients shared stories about integrating SalesPage with Salesforce and Marketo.
Second Stop: CRM Forum
Earlier this week, we spent some time in Newport Beach, at On Course Advisors’ CRM Forum. This group of asset managers continues to grow, and it’s energizing to be part of it. Topics included third-party data sources, tracking ETF AUM to pay wholesaler commissions, and prioritizing your CRM roadmap and operating model.
Third Stop: Mutual Fund and ETF Distribution Summit
Next week, we’re heading to the east coast to attend and to speak at Financial Research Associates’ Mutual Fund and ETF Distribution Summit. Greg Piaseckyj, Head of Sales for SalesPage, will join representatives from Oppenheimer Funds, Polen Capital, and SalesFocus on a panel discussing effective selling methods for wholesalers.
Fourth Stop: MFEA Joint Marketing & Product Summit
Team members are also traveling to Colorado next week for the MFEA Joint Marketing & Product Summit. We are particularly looking forward to two sessions, Delivering Data-Driven Marketing Strategy and Marketing to Time Constrained RIAs, as we are eager to learn more about how firms are using data in marketing and managing the RIA channel.
Fifth Stop: ICI General Membership Meeting
In May, we’ll be headed east to attend the ICI conference in Washington, DC. This is one of our favorite annual events, as it covers multiple tracks, from operations to compliance, that are crucial to the asset management industry.
Final Stop: Strategic Insight Fund Trends Conference 2016
Our last stop this quarter will be in New York in June, at the SIFT Conference. As at the MFEA event, this group will be talking about RIAs, with the focus here on advising fund firms about how to succeed in this channel. Other topics that’ll be covered range from driving advisor engagement and distribution strategy to engaging the Defined Contribution marketplace.
We hope to see you at one of these stops. In any case, we look forward to sharing with you what we learn and do check out more upcoming events!
